Captain Dan Havelka is a lifelong fisherman with extensive knowledge and experience fishing Raritan and Sandy Hook Bays. He prides himself on running a well-maintained, fully equipped charter boat for the maximum enjoyment and safety of his passengers. Captain Dan wants all his charter customers to have a productive day of fishing on the Double Down II. Captain Dan has the know-how to take you to the nooks and crannies of the bay for fishing fun. Sometimes finding the fish takes the Double Down II all around the bay, fishing in many spots. Aboard Double Down Charters we specialize in light tackle fishing for striped bass, fluke, bluefish, blackfish, porgies and seabass.  

Our approach to fishing is not to fish in the crowds but to find the lone area where the fish are biting. Early morning or early evening trips are the most fun due to the lack of boat traffic. Depending upon the area being fished, from the time we leave the dock, we could be fishing in less than ten minutes.
